Scheduling and publishing posts: Publish now, Remind me, Auto-post
How to send a post out now, get a reminder to post it yourself, or have Whaaat AI publish it automatically at a scheduled time.

Auto-Posting closes the loop: your agents' posts can go out on their own or at your command. You choose how each post publishes, per post, either in the schedule panel at the bottom of the post editor or straight from the chat with an agent. The schedule panel has three tabs: Publish now, Remind me, and Auto-post. If you have not connected an account yet, Publish now and Auto-post prompt you to set up social connections first; Remind me works without one.
❗ Nothing publishes without your confirmation. An agent can schedule a post and set up auto-publishing for you, but only after you confirm it once with a single click. You can cancel a scheduled post at any time, so nothing goes live under your brand that you did not approve.
Three Publishing Modes
Publish now
Pick Platform, Destination, and Post as, then click Publish now. The post goes live immediately and moves to Published. There is no date to set.
Remind me
Pick a date and time, then click Schedule reminder. Fifteen minutes before, we email you so you can post it yourself. The email opens the post in Whaaat AI but does not publish anything, so choosing a connected account here only records where you plan to post. Once a reminder is set, the buttons change to Update reminder and Remove reminder. The 15-minute timing is fixed for now.
The reminder opens the post but does not copy it for you. Use the copy menu in the editor to copy it in the right format, then paste it into the channel; the post's status does not change. See The Content editor for the copy and export options.
Auto-post
Pick Platform, Destination, Post as, a date, and a time, then click Schedule. At that time, the post publishes itself, with no email before or after, and moves to Published so the Planner shows it is live.
Schedule or publish from the chat
You do not have to open the schedule panel. In the chat, tell the agent when to schedule the post and whether it should auto-publish. The agent shows a Publish this post automatically? card with two choices:
Yes, auto-post this: the post is scheduled and publishes itself at that time, with no further review. Turn it off any time by cancelling the schedule.
No, keep manual: the post is scheduled for that time, but you post it yourself, as with Remind me.
Either way the post is only scheduled once you choose, so nothing publishes without that one confirmation.
Important field naming
Platform: the channel, such as LinkedIn, Instagram, or TikTok.
Destination: the connected account you publish through.
Post as: the exact profile or Page the post appears on. One connection can offer several, for example, your personal LinkedIn profile plus every Company Page you administer.
On the Remind me tab, Destination also offers I'll post manually (no account), for a channel you have not connected.
How far ahead you can schedule
Remind me and Auto-post let you pick a future date, and how far ahead depends on your plan: Starter schedules up to 7 days ahead, and Pro schedules as far ahead as you like. You will see your limit in the panel when you pick a date, and during a trial you get the behaviour of the plan you are trialling. Publish now is unaffected, since nothing is scheduled. Before you schedule
Above the button, a line like "286/3000 characters · no media" with a green tick shows whether the post meets the channel's requirements. If something is wrong, for example the content is over the channel's character limit, the message here says what. Check it before scheduling. The coloured dots under the time picker are only a colour label for the calendar view; they do not affect where or when a post goes out.
Common issues
Remind me did not publish my post: it never does. The email opens the post; you still copy it in and post it yourself, even with an account selected.
A Remind me post still shows Scheduled after I posted it: Whaaat AI cannot tell whether you pasted it into the channel, so the status does not change. Only Publish now and Auto-post move a post to Published.
Publish now or Auto-post is greyed out: you have not connected an account for that channel yet. Connect one first.
