Activating auto-posting and connecting your social accounts
How to connect your social accounts so Whaaat AI can publish scheduled posts automatically, including the two-factor and confirmation steps required before auto-posting can be switched on.

Auto-Posting needs a quick one-time setup before your accounts can publish for you. You do it under Settings, then Social Connections, on the page titled Auto Posting. There are three steps, in order, and a progress line at the top tracks how many you have done.
❗ Your connected accounts post under your brand name, so auto-posting is gated behind a short security setup. You only have to do this once.
Step 1: Turn on two-factor authentication
In the Two-factor authentication section, click Enable two-factor authentication and enter the code we email you. From then on, signing in to Whaaat AI asks for a one-time code sent to your email. Two-factor is required for every member of the organization, not only you.
Step 2: Confirm you understand auto-posting
Once two-factor is on, the Send me the confirmation email button becomes active. Click it, read the email, and click the link inside to activate. This is your explicit acknowledgement that posts will publish to your real accounts. Until step 1 is done, this step stays locked and shows Finish step 1 first.
💡 You stay in control of every post. When you schedule a post, you decide whether it publishes automatically or waits for you.
Step 3: Connect your channels
Authorize each channel separately. Nothing is ever published to a channel you have not connected, and you can disconnect any channel at any time. A grey dot next to a channel means it is not connected; a green dot means it is.
Before you connect, a dialog asks you to read three things:
Grant every permission. Whaaat AI connects through its publishing partner, Postproxy. Approve every permission on the screens that follow, or publishing will not work properly.
You decide per post. Each scheduled post either publishes automatically or waits for you, and Whaaat AI never deletes anything in your accounts.
Connections expire. Each platform expires connections on its own schedule, and some do not show a date. You get an email before a connection expires and again on the day. Reconnecting only works on the expiry day itself, so use Reconnect that day to keep scheduled posts going out.
The supported channels are Facebook (a Page), Instagram (a Business or Creator account), TikTok, LinkedIn (a profile or Company Page), YouTube (a channel), X (Twitter), Threads, and Pinterest.
After you connect a channel
A connected channel shows:
Connected as, with Resync and Disconnect buttons.
A Post as list of every profile and Page that account exposes, each with its own Shared / Not shared switch.
Connect another account, if you manage more than one on that channel.
Connections belong to you personally. Use the Shared switches to let your organization publish to a destination, for example sharing the company Page while keeping your personal profile private. If a Page you administer is missing from the list, click Resync to reload it.
Turning auto-posting off
Once set up, the page shows Auto-posting is active with a Deactivate auto-posting button. Deactivating cancels all scheduled auto-posts; they do not fall back to reminders. To pause publishing without losing your schedule, move individual posts to Remind me instead.
Common issues
You cannot connect a channel, or Connect is greyed out: finish two-factor authentication and the confirmation email first.
A Page you administer is missing: click Resync to reload the profiles and Pages you manage.
Posts stopped going out: a connection has probably expired. Reconnect on the day the expiry email arrives, since that is the only day reconnecting works.
